'Sexcalation' Book Cover

Well, there's no need to delay much longer.  I'm still editing and aiming to release it next week, so why not share the cover now?

There you go.

The vibrators in the back are arranged to show an escalation (see? "Sexcalation," escalation) which is part of the story.  The red velvet cupcake up front with the two pairs of bride/grooms is the basic plot of the story (married couple hooks up with another couple for freaky fun times).

Here's a weird thing, though.  While photographing the vibrators, I noticed something strange about the red rabbit-type device:

It's got a face.

I did some research and, apparently, dual action vibrators like this originated and sell very well in Japan.  But, in Japan, it is illegal to sell anatomically correct phallic devices.  By putting a face on it, crafting the edge of the dildo's "head" to look like hair, sometimes making the clit bit look like an animal ... manufacturers skirt the law.

Crazy.

'Sexcalation' is done!

After a five-hour writing jag, I've wrapped the thing up.

I was stuck for the last week once I realized that the ending I had been building up to was a bit of a downer for an erotica book.  But then I had an epiphany and all's well!

Editing phase begins now.  It's in three parts: reading it on the computer, reading a printout and then reading it on a Kindle.  After that, it's publishin' time.

The Story So Far

Some of you may know me from my series of Battlestar Galactica-based novels, Lords of Kobol.  You may also know my time travel scifi book Displaced or my post-apocalyptic zombie novel Diary of a Second Life.  (See link on the side of the page in case you're interested.)

Since I'm venturing into erotica, it seemed best to keep it separated.

Welcome to Sexcalation Books.

Yes, plural.

I have the long-form novel that will be published in the next few weeks.  It's simply titled Sexcalation.  A semi-semi-autobiographical version of (parts) of my life, it's a funny and sex-filled story about a married couple who get involved with their neighbors.  The proper term for their relationship is polygynandry.

Once that's published, I'll begin a semi-regular series of porn books (excuse me, erotica) that will feature sexy tales with various settings, characters and so on.  There may be themes and there may not.

In the next few days, I'll be posting the cover for the book and a steamy chapter or two from the novel.

I have some additional information about my new "male romance" book, Sexcalation, and the writing of it.  It's a bit graphic, of course, so I'll post it after the JUMP.

Sexy Name Change and Another Sexy Chapter

As you might guess, this post relates to my upcoming "male romance novel."  Naughty things will be discussed.

First off, though, a name change.  For years, this book was going to be called Depraved.  I decided against that since the things described therein weren't really depraved, per se.  Maybe to some people.  But still ... not nearly so far gone as to warrant that title.

A few weeks ago, I decided to go with I Pronounce You Husbands & Wives.  A bit wordy, but it was more applicable.  Unfortunately, it didn't match the gist of the whole work.

I decided the other day to change it to Sexcalation.  You know, "escalation" with some "sex" on the front.  Maybe a bit too on the nose?  Perhaps.  But it is more in line with the story.

I'm not 100% sold on that title, so I might change it again.  If you have any suggestions, feel free to let me know in the comments below.

In the meantime, here's another super sexy chapter.  Extremely graphic sexual acts (with some humor) will be described after the JUMP.

OK, I've decided which book to work on next.

My "male romance novel."  Working title has been Depraved, but I'm now leaning toward I Pronounce You Husbands & Wives.  I started writing it back in 2008 but stopped after a while.

At any rate, I'm not actually writing more just yet.  I need someone's approval.

My wife.

Now, before you start thinking "whu-PISHHH!" (that would be a whip noise), there's a good reason for it.  No, the subject matter doesn't bother her.  She loves porn.  LOVES it.  And she loves reading sexy books.  Man, I lucked out in that regard.

What's that, honey?  Sure.  I'll delete that bit.

Anyways.  I want her approval because a good bit of the book is semi-autobiographical.  Doesn't feel fair to be telling tales about her without her OK.

So.  If she gives the "thumbs up," I'll start banging it out.  So to speak.

If she doesn't, then I move on to something else.

UPDATE: My wife has finished reading the first part of the book ... and approves.

She also said it was "hot."
